An interesting tool for language learning: Digital Storytelling

Digital story way based on technology to tell a story. It could be used for any purpose. Well, did you know digital storytelling could be used for language learning too? Yeah, it can be beneficial for students to improve their English language skills. Especially, it can applied for young learners as it is an entertaining tool. 

As you can understand, our new educational technologies assignment is creating a digital story. It was a group work. I did this assignment with Dila, Zeynep and Şevval. We were required to choose one option that our teacher gave us. We chose creating a fictional story. Before starting it, we thought it would not be so hard. However, we got stuck even at the beginning of the process. We could not find any idea to create our story. After created a story, we again fell into error. We supposed that it would be easier for us to create an animation as we created the story that we thought  the hardest part of the assignment. Unfortunately, it was not like that. It was as hard as the creating a story. We did everything and it was lost. We had to do it again. It was so complicated and difficult for us. Yet, we succeeded it at the end. 

I think this assignment is an effective way but it is hard to do. That is why ı won't want my students to create digital story. However, I can create for them to use in the class activities as it is beneficial and lasting way to teach english. Also, it improves students' creativity and it is really enjoyable.
